The blogger, who writes underneath the name BirdAbroad, discovered the faux Apple search whereas out walking together with her husband.
She wrote on her blog yesterday: “They gave the look of Apple product. It gave the look of an Apple store. It had the classic Apple store winding staircase and peculiar upstairs sitting space. the staff were even sporting those blue t-shirts with the chunky Apple name tags around their necks.”
She added: “You have already guessed the punchline, of course: this was a complete Apple store ripoff. a good looking ripoff – a superb one – the most effective ripoff store we have a tendency to had ever seen (and we have a tendency to see them each day). however some things were simply not right: the steps were poorly created. The walls hadn’t been painted properly.”
BirdAbroad’s photos show that the search has in-store branding and even furniture that appears terribly just like that which might be during a real Apple Store. The store’s stock, in keeping with BirdAbroad, “may or might not be genuine”, though it will seem to be real from what may be seen within the photos.
BirdAbroad wrote in her post that the employees at the shop “all genuinely assume they work for Apple”.
It’s fairly common to listen to of pretend product found in China. faux iPhones and iPads are commonly pictured for sale within the country. Faking a whole store appears like one thing new. However, BirdAbroad concludes: “A 10 minute walk round the corner revealed not one, however 2 additional rip-off Apple stores.”
